Temporary residence refers to the status of individuals who are allowed to stay in Canada for a limited period for specific purposes such as tourism, studying, or working. The main categories include visitor visas, study permits, and work permits.

Visitor Visa

Also known as a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV), it allows individuals to enter Canada for tourism, family visits, or business purposes. It typically permits stays of up to six months.

Study Permit

This permit allows international students to study at designated learning institutions (DLIs) in Canada. It usually lasts for the duration of the study program plus an additional 90 days.

Initial Consultation and Assessment

Conduct a detailed consultation to understand the client’s background, objectives, and eligibility. Assess the client’s qualifications and determine the most appropriate type of permit for their situation.

Document Preparation and Review

Compile a comprehensive list of required documents for the application, such as passports, financial proof, and acceptance letters from educational institutions.
Review and verify the completeness and accuracy of the client’s documents to ensure they meet Canadian immigration standards.

Application Submission

Assist the client in completing the application forms accurately. Submit the application to the appropriate Canadian immigration authorities on behalf of the client, ensuring all supporting documents are included.

Follow-Up and Communication

Monitor the status of the application and provide regular updates to the client. Communicate with immigration officials if additional information or documentation is requested.

Post-Approval Assistance

Offer guidance on next steps following approval, such as travel arrangements and pre-departure information. Provide ongoing support to address any questions or concerns the client may have upon arrival in Canada, including assistance with extending permits or transitioning to permanent residence if applicable.

Legal and Compliance Support

Ensure the client remains compliant with all Canadian immigration laws and regulations throughout their stay. Provide legal advice and representation if any issues or complications arise, such as visa denials, extensions, or appeals.
