Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA): An LMIA is a document that an employer in Canada may need to obtain before hiring a foreign worker. It is issued by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) and assesses the impact of hiring a foreign worker on the Canadian labor market. A positive LMIA indicates that there is a need for a foreign worker to fill the job and that no Canadian worker is available to do it.

Work Permit: A work permit is a document issued by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) that allows a foreign national to work in Canada for a specific period and under specific conditions. There are two main types of work permits: employer-specific and open work permits.

Initial Consultation and Assessment

Conduct a thorough consultation with the employer to understand their hiring needs and the foreign worker’s qualifications. Assess the eligibility of both the employer and the foreign worker for the LMIA and work permit process.

Customized Approach

We understand that every organization has its own set of challenges and objectives. That’s why we take a personalized approach to ensure that our training programs align with your specific goals and requirements.

LMIA Application Preparation

Guide the employer in preparing the LMIA application, including job advertisements, business legitimacy documents, and proof of recruitment efforts. Review and ensure all required documents are accurate and complete to meet ESDC standards.

Work Permit Application Preparation

Assist the foreign worker in gathering necessary documents for the work permit application, such as a copy of the LMIA, job offer, and personal identification documents. Ensure the application forms are accurately completed and all supporting documents are included.

Work Permit Submission and Follow-Up

Submit the work permit application to IRCC on behalf of the foreign worker. Track the application progress and provide regular updates to both the employer and the foreign worker. Communicate with IRCC if additional information or documentation is requested.

Post-Approval Assistance

Provide guidance on next steps following the approval of the work permit, including travel arrangements and pre-departure information. Offer ongoing support to ensure compliance with Canadian employment laws and work permit conditions. Assist with any extensions, renewals, or transitions to permanent residency if applicable.
